Keep your kids active during their summer and spring breaks, climbing with us!

Our camps are a great way to introduce your child to the fun and exciting sport of rock climbing and is open to boys and girls, ages 8 to 14, of all fitness abilities. The group nature of our program provides a fun, structured environment for kids to work and play together, as they begin their learning and performing of rock climbing, teambuilding and challenge activities.

In a fun and supportive atmosphere, all campers will first learn the fundamentals with climbing instruction and technique in the areas of: appropriate warm-up, bouldering, belay procedures and communication.

Knot and Belay Instruction

All camp programs start with the initial knot and belay instruction. This class is normally only taught to anyone who is 14 years or older however, because the children are under counselor supervision, they will be belaying each other, establishing trust and teamwork among their fellow campers.

Campers will practice rappelling, the act of lowering themselves from the top of the wall, just like if they were outdoors descending from the top of a cliff or dropping down into a canyon.

Mock Lead

A simulation of lead climbing, the most advanced climbing available at Aiguille, campers will be able to practice climbing and clipping their ropes into the quickdraws like a real sport climber!

Climbing Games

Campers will be involved in a number of different climbing games to work together while on the wall and have fun developing skills such as trust, courage, and good sportsmanship. Games are focused on not only providing a physical and mental challenge, but also to have fun. Games include Add-On, Grafitti, Climbing Limbo, Relay Race, and many more!

Other Activities

While climbing is the main focus of the camp, we give their little hands a break with a number of other activities such as slacklining, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, and other active games in our yoga room.
